We understand that participating in a study is a big decision. Talk with your family, doctors, and fellow warriors.

The RUBY Study may be a good fit for people who:

• Are between 12 and 50 years old
• Have a diagnosis of severe SCD (HbSS, HbSβ0 thalassemia, HbSβ+ thalassemia, HbSD, HbSO-Arab)
• Have had at least 2 severe pain crises that required a hospital visit each year for the past 2 years
